The United States Government Against Clean Coal Power

Facts about clean coal power plants:

American and European coal power plants are the most efficient, cost effective, environmentally friendly, and overall best form of producing energy today. Why in the world are America’s coal power plants being shut down at such a rapid rate? Why are they being shut down at all? No logical explanation exists. As a result, Americans are paying at least double for electricity today than what we were paying a few years ago. Additionally, many thousands of Americans have lost jobs as a result of coal power plants closing as well. This is absurd. Purchase a Bring Back Clean Coal cause to help reverse this ridiculous crisis we are facing from our own government.

IER: The Facts About Air Quality and Coal-Fired Power Plants

America’s improving air quality is an untold success story. Even before Congress passed the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1970, air quality had been improving for decades.[i] And since 1970, the six so-called criteria pollutants have declined significantly, even though the generation of electricity from coal-fired plants has increased by over 180 percent. [ii] (The “criteria pollutants” are carbon monoxide, lead, sulfur dioxide [SO2], nitrogen oxides [NOx], ground-level ozone, and particulate matter [PM]. They are called “criteria” pollutants because the EPA sets the criteria for permissible levels. [iii]) Total SO2 emissions from coal-fired plants were reduced by about 40 percent between 1970 and 2006, and NOx emissions were reduced by almost 50 percent between 1980 and 2006. On an output basis, the percent reduction is even greater, with SO2 emissions (in pounds per megawatt-hour) almost 80 percent lower, and NOx emissions 70 percent lower.

Lord Christopher Monkton, An Expert On The Climate, On INFOWARS With Alex Jones

Coal power is one of the most inexpensive, clean, and effective ways of generating electricity. The United States and Europe have frontiered the development of generating clean power from coal to almost 100% efficiency. Yet, somehow, our coal power plants are being shut down faster than we are able to produce alternative energy resources, sending our country back into the dark ages! Why?In the name of clean power? That can’t possibly be the answer. Coal from the ground to your power outlet is much cheaper and less destructive the the environment than any alternatives we are seeing on the market. American individuals and families are losing their livelihood as a result of electricity costs soaring since the closing of our coal plants. Americans are losing their jobs as a result of these plants closing. What is going on, and why? The end doesn’t justify the means. We want our coal power back. We want cheaper energy back. We want our Americans, who lost their jobs as a result of coal plants closing, to have the opportunity to have their jobs back.

These are some simple websites that have statistical information showing us how devastating this issue really is:

Companies And Movements Like inhabitat Are Pushing To Close Coal Power Plants.

It is sad to see people misinformed of the truth about coal. It is understandable to make moves to improve the efficiency of coal, and bring older factories up to date. However, it is absurd to see one of our most depended on methods of energy production being shut down at such a massive scale. The immediate result is doubling energy prices. This is a move backwards in humanities development. We need abundant energy. We need freedom to create and develop new ideas for energy and for humanity in general. When the prices of energy double, Americans are more focused on making and saving money. This is a form of taking away freedom. This is further increasing the number of people who are living paycheck to paycheck. This is a step backwards.

A step forwards would be to bring the coal plants back online, give American people their jobs back at the coal factories, make plans to upgrade facilities to cleaner methods for producing energy, and continue researching alternative energy – like thorium.
