We are facing many issues in the country, and every one of them is just as important as the other. Our mining and manufacturing industries have nearly completely moved overseas, and the shock-waves can be felt throughout our nation. Jobs are down in great numbers. Obama’s way for covering this up was ruthless. He changed the number of hours needed to be considered a “full-time employee” to a little more than 30 hours. This forced many people to get second jobs to continue sustaining their income stream, thus, creating more jobs on paper. However, the truth is completely different, and our nation is still suffering greatly. There are many industries we can bring back to America to create real jobs for real Americans.

Rare Earth is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, and is currently monopolized by China. China controls 97 percent of the rare earth industry, and it doesn’t look like things are changing anytime soon. America has vast rare earth resources waiting to be mined from our mineral-rich deposits. Even if we were to mine these elements, America would still need to ship these raw materials to China for refining. Then China would ship them back to us for our various uses and applications. What we want and need in America is a real rare earth industry. We need to develop the ability to mine, refine, and apply these materials in real ways inside our own boarders. If we were to tackle this one industry alone, we would be creating hundreds of thousands of jobs for Americans who need them. We need to see this happen.

Please do everything in your power to send this message – loud and clear – up the chain of command: rare earth industry, whatever type it is, needs to be brought to the United States. We the people fought to create a free country in 1776. In 2016, we the people still believe in the idea of freedom and liberty – now more than ever. Please do everything in your power to bring the rare earth industry to America. Make your voice heard by as many government officials as possible. Be bold. America needs you to speak out. We need you to protect our constitution. You were elected to perform a service to the public, and that includes protecting the Constitution, and the ideas it stands for. Make your voice heard by as many people as possible. As Dylan Thomas once wrote, “do not go quietly into the night.” Create a twitter account, and post your strong belief in creating a rare earth industry in America – include hashtags #developre and #therfmovement to join the movement of other representatives across this country who are standing up for what is right.
